About Me

Hey, I’m Kirsten. I’m British, and also a book nerd (if you hadn’t already guessed). I studied Creative Writing and Narrative Studies at the University of Southern California, worked for a year in New York and graduated from the Columbia Publishing Course at Oxford University. In college, I realised that lots of my friends had loved reading as children, but given it up as they got older. One of the main reasons that I think people lose their love of reading is because they start to see it as a chore not a hobby. Reading becomes something you should do to better yourself, and so you try to read books you think you should be reading, and not what you actually like. I want reading to be like TV, but better. It should transport you and entertain you, and most of all, it should be fun. So I’ve started this blog to give you some reading inspiration. I’ll leave you with one of my favourite quotations from one of my favourite books: “words are, in my not-so-humble opinion, our most inexhaustible form of magic” – J.K Rowling
