Hey, I'm Kirsten! I'm British, and also a book nerd (if you hadn't already guessed). I work in sales at Penguin Random House in London, and previously studied Creative Writing and Narrative Studies at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, lived and worked in New York, and graduated from the Columbia Publishing Course at Oxford University. I started this blog in college, where I realised that lots of my friends had loved reading as children, but given it up as they got older. One of the main reasons that I think people lose their love of reading is because they start to see it as a chore not a hobby. Reading becomes something you should do to better yourself, and so you try to read books you think you should be reading, and not what you actually like. I want reading to be like TV, but better. It should transport you and entertain you, and most of all, it should be fun and inclusive, a place where everyone feels welcome and safe. I hope you start to find that space here.
